Here are some of the best bits so you don’t have to go trawling the interwebs for them: yes, yes I know, we’re far too good for you. Worth noting though, if you’re adverse to spoilers of any kind then this might not be the post for you. Enjoy.
Let’s start this off with what Comic-Con is best known for, Cosplay! Here are just a few of our favourites:
A Pizza Ghost because why not aye?
Below are some more amazing visuals courtesy of SlashFilm:
Ninja Turtles… outta Lego!
Tom Cruise’s outfit in the forthcoming Edge Of Tomorrow. Looks a little squat… what?
Asgardian Warriors protect Thor’s trusty hammer Mjolnir
More amazing Lego figures – this time, Supes gets bricked.

Our favourite sleuths weren’t available to be at comic-con but they both managed to send through a message. Bilbo did his while cheerful and hairy as ever and Sherlock/Smaug/Necromancer/Kahn/Wikileaks Guy explains how Sherlock survives that fateful drop at the end of series two… almost.
The Eleventh Doctor a.k.a Matt Smith hasn’t ever been able to wander the floors of comic-con for fear of being lynched…. until now! Here he is mingling with the crowd while wearing a Bart Simpson mask.
iO9 have the best run down of the Dr Who 50th Anniversary trailer including these behind the scenes shots from filming. I have no idea what any of it means but I know it’s going to be incredible! IGN have great article too on this.
Okay, so the audio isn’t perfeck but the video below is the full Marvel panel from Comic-Con (minus any footage shown) including an introduction from the one and only LOKI!
The Avengers 2
So yeah, this happened. Apparently we were all wrong in thinking that Thanos would be the big bad in Avengers 2 and in fact, it’s going to be Ultron! But don’t you need a Hank Pym to get an Ultron you shout? Apparently not according to Joss Whedon. But Ultron certainly does make the idea of Vision making an appearance a whole butt load more viable.
For anyone who doesn’t know, Vision is an android who is created by Ultron and later becomes a member of the Avengers. Fans have also recently been given reason to believe that Vin Diesel may be up for the role…
So, this happened.

How amazing is that! If there was any doubt that this has potential to become one of the greatest comic book movies ever then that cast alone should squash that doubt. Just wow!
For more information on all things X from the Con, iO9 have an amazing breakdown of the Days Of Future Past panel.
And also, we featured a quick glimpse of this in the SFF Weekly Round-Up on Friday but here is a better look at the head of a sentinel and the Trask Industries logo from the forthcoming X-Men Days Of Future Past.

The Guardians Cast Assembled:

Slashfilm have a full text breakdown of the Guardians footage they were shown which features some funny sounding gags referring to the fact no one knows who the Guardians of the Galaxy actually are.
Oh and they also have this picture of Karen Gillan a.k.a Amy Pond, with a shaved head. More of which can be found over on The Sun website.
And finally, the first look at the characters
Here’s your first proper look at what the Guardians of the Galaxy will actually look like. Click the link for more, via Forbes.

Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes
Caesar looks insane here! Look at that war paint on an obviously much older Caesar, check out all those apes lingering in the background. From what I’ve read this still is seconds before hundreds of apes launch themselves at humans. This will be terrifying and awesome. Via iO9
Legendary Pictures built an enormous Godzilla experience at Comic-Con this year that even featured a Japanese-style ramen bar. Oh, and a lift experience that ‘goes all wrong’ and ends up giving the world its very first glimpse of what the kaiju king himself might look like in the film.

And here’s the newly released teaser poster. That’s one big ass.
Superman Sequel goes Bats
Yes Supes is getting a sequel which Zack Snyder is set to once again helm but the kicker is that this one is set to feature Batman too in a story that we’re told won’t be too dissimilar to Frank Millar’s classic The Dark Knight Returns.
Here’s a shot from the big reveal at SDCC:

I know I’m not the first to point this out but isn’t this film what led to the events of I Am Legend? Maybe that’s how the zombies in that film were created, not from some experiment of Robert Neville’s but by burning audiences brains with a stream of bad ideas like this.
Right, that’s it for this one-shot Comic Con Round Up. As I said, there’s no way we could fit absolutely everything in to one post but did we miss anything that the world simply MUST know about? Tell us below.
